Ardian, via its Ardian Clean Energy Evergreen Fund (ACEEF), has acquired a portfolio of 117 operational solar photovoltaic (PV) plants located in several Italian regions, with a total capacity of 116 megawatts. The seller was E2E, an Italian company active in the renewable-energy sector.
Ardian said the solar assets have a strong operating track record of more than 10 years, and many of them have been recently repowered and revamped with Tier 1 technology. The assets also benefit from feed-in tariffs, and the transaction is fully aligned with ACEEF’s strategy focused on highly contracted brownfield renewable assets through incentive tariffs or long-term power-purchase agreements with a balanced, diversified portfolio of generation capacity.
