Ardian has acquired the Horse Creek and Electra wind farms in Texas from MEAG, which sold the assets on behalf of German insurance provider Munich Re.
Ardian, which was the existing long-term partner in the assets, acquired MEAG’s minority interest in the wind farms, representing the conclusion of an investment MEAG has managed since 2017.
Horse Creek and Electra have a combined installed capacity of 460 megawatts. The assets contribute renewable-energy generation within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power market and have been in operation since 2016.
