Ardian has acquired the 21.6-megawatt Honkajoki wind farm in Finland from two private asset management companies: Access Capital Partners and KGAL. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Honkajoki wind farm consists of nine wind turbines with 21.6 megawatts of capacity. It began operating in 2013. Following the acquisition, the asset will be managed by Ardian’s operating partner in the region, eNordic. As part of a broader deployment strategy in the country, ACEEF also acquired another 6-megawatt operating wind farm in the country earlier this year and is developing stand-alone and colocated battery storage projects in house alongside eNordic.
Ardian said the assets will benefit from further integration with its worldwide renewable-energy asset management platform, OPTA.
