Arcus to buy Volta Data Centres from Verne

Arcus Infrastructure Partners’ Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 4 (AEIF4) will acquire 100 percent of Volta Data Centres from Verne, the companies recently confirmed. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The 6-megawatt carrier-neutral colocation and interconnection facility is located in central London and serves customers across financial services, telecoms, IT and enterprise sectors.

Arcus said the acquisition builds on the firm’s existing colocation expertise through Portus Data Centres, an Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 3 investment, and follows an 18-month review of European markets in which the United Kingdom was identified as offering a compelling combination of demand growth, constrained supply and long-term investment opportunity.
