Arcus Infrastructure Partners buys Swedish vehicle-inspection business

Arcus Infrastructure Partners has acquired Opus Bilprovning, a vehicle-inspection business in Sweden, on behalf of its Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 2 (AEIF2).

This marks the ninth investment for the fund, which closed in April 2020 at €1.2 billion ($1.3 billion). AEIF2 is targeting mid-market value-add infrastructure businesses in the telecom, transport and energy sectors across Europe.

Opus Bilprovning, launched in 2012, operates predominantly in the mandatory periodic technical inspections (PTI) sector for light and heavy vehicles, which involves the testing of vehicles for mandatory safety requirements and emission levels. The company has a strong presence in the densely populated areas in and around Stockholm, and a major position in the northern parts of Sweden. The company has a network of 94 stations nationwide, serving 1.4 million customers annually.
