Ara Partners, a global decarbonization investment firm, has acquired a majority interest in Natural World Products (NWP), an esteemed recycler of household organic waste in Ireland.
Headquartered in Belfast, NWP plays a pivotal role in the circular economy on the island of Ireland, maintaining a leading position in organic-waste recycling. Its critical infrastructure has diverted more than 1.5 million tonnes of organic waste from landfill in the past five years, helping customers meet legislated net-zero targets.
“NWP’s evolution is a testament to how a local SME with the right vision, team and support, can grow into a platform that attracts sophisticated institutional infrastructure capital,” said Colm Warren, CEO of NWP. “This investment marks a major milestone for the organics, soil health and decarbonization sectors on the Island, accelerating not just NWP’s growth, but the broader infrastructure solutions needed for sustainable economic progress.”
