Aquila Capital and TopInfra, a South Korean renewable energy asset development company, have set up a joint venture to focus on the development and construction of solar photovoltaic, wind, and battery energy-storage systems projects in South Korea.
The JV, known as Aquila Development Partners, has a pipeline of 430 megawatts of solar PV and 1,000 megawatts of wind power at various stages of development. The partners are positioned to grow this pipeline further.
South Korea is the fourth-largest power market in Asia Pacific and has committed to net-zero emissions by 2050.
