Antin snaps up clinical trial equipment infrastructure specialist as part of mid-cap strategy

Antin Infrastructure Partners has reached an agreement with Dutch family office and investment platform Gryphion to acquire Emsere, a medical equipment rental specialist, representing the eighth investment by Antin’s €2.2 billion ($3 billion) Mid Cap Fund I.

Headquartered in Leiden, the Netherlands, Emsere provides contract research organizations (CROs) and pharmaceutical companies with specialized mission-critical medical equipment and service solutions, including specialized logistics for clinical trials globally. Emsere has more than 13,000 pieces of equipment in its portfolio and delivers to more than 100 countries through its own distribution centers and third-party relationships, making it a globally consolidated solution for all clinical trial equipment needs. Its customers include six of the top 10 global pharmaceutical companies and seven of the top 10 CROs globally.
