Amp Energy has been selected to deliver Iron Road’s Cape Hardy green hydrogen project in Australia, following a competitive three-month offer-to-bid process.
Located on the Eyre Peninsula, the green industrial hub will feature a 5-gigawatt green hydrogen production facility to develop the deep seaport for hydrogen operations, along with mineral and grain exports.
Amp Energy will develop and build up to 5 gigawatts of electrolyzer capacity during the next decade in the port precinct, delivering more than 5 million metric tons of green ammonia each year and fueling South Australia’s position as a global leader in green hydrogen and ammonia production. The project is expected to inject billions of dollars of investment outcomes into South Australia.
