AMP Capital has acquired an additional 9.95 percent stake in the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) in Australia, bringing its total interest in the facility to 27.21 percent.
The 800-bed RAH was delivered as a public-private partnership (P3) with the South Australian government.
The acquisition was made on behalf of investors in AMP’s Community Infrastructure Fund (CommIF), which invests in an unlisted portfolio of high-quality P3-style social infrastructure assets in Australia and New Zealand, in sectors such as education, health, justice, water, transport, community housing and recreational facilities. The fund now has 18 assets worth more than A$5.8 billion ($4.3 billion).
