Sydney-based AMP Capital Global Infrastructure Fund II, managed by AMP Capital Investors, has raised slightly more than $2 billion, according to an SEC filing, pushing it closer to its $3 billion target. Nine investors have backed the fund.
AMP Capital’s Global Listed Infrastructure Fund series focuses on companies that own and operate infrastructure assets, according to the firm’s website. Investments are diversified across geographic regions and infrastructure sectors, with a focus on energy, transportation, communication and water.
The AMP Capital Global Infrastructure Fund II has raised more than $400 million since October 2018, when it held a first close at $1.6 billion in capital commitments. It launched in 2017.
