AMP Capital eyes opportunities in Asia

AMP Capital is looking to expand its investment offerings in Asia, Andrew Jones, global head of infrastructure debt, told the Reuters 2020 Investment Outlook Summit this week.

Jones said the firm is “examining the possibility” of offering debt investment opportunities in infrastructure in Asia to investors.

f“That’s something that we’re in early stages of thinking about,” Jones told Reuters. “We are seeing more and more investment opportunities there so we’re considering whether it might be an appropriate market.”

The firm currently has investment operations established in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States, according to AMP Capital’s website.

AMP Capital has $138.8 billion in assets under management.
