AMP Capital appoints investment director and head of airports business in Europe

by Kali Persall

AMP Capital has hired Graeme Ferguson as an investment director, leading the firm’s airports business in Europe. Working out of London, Ferguson will report to Malcolm Brown, a senior principal for the firm.

Ferguson will be responsible for managing the firm’s airport investments in London Luton, Leeds Bradford and Newcastle, and joins the boards of Leeds Bradford and Newcastle airports. He will also provide insights and advice for new airport acquisition opportunities.

“Graeme has extensive experience across whole airport end-to-end evaluation, strategy, due diligence and business plan development, as well as negotiating commercial agreements with diverse stakeholders,” said Malcolm Brown, head of asset management, Europe. “His deep knowledge of the UK airport sector will help us to maximise the value of our significant investments in this market.”

Ferguson’s appointment follows the closing of AMP Capital’s Global Infrastructure Fund II with $3.
