Amber Infrastructure’s 3SIIF makes its foray into the digital infrastructure space

Amber Infrastructure Group’s Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund (3SIIF) has made its first digital infrastructure investment with the acquisition of a controlling stake in Greenergy Data Centers OU, a Central and Eastern Europe data center platform. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Greenergy will develop much-needed infrastructure across the Three Seas region to meet the growing compute, storage and connectivity needs of enterprises and consumers, according to Amber. Greenergy plans to develop a number of data center projects in this region over the coming years, servicing the growing needs of customers across the CEE region in an otherwise under-supplied market for this type of infrastructure.

The first data center will be developed in Estonia through MCF Group Estonia OU (MCF) with construction to be completed in 2021. The data center will deliver up to 20 megawatts of capacity to the Baltic market.
