Amazon earmarks $6b for third data center campus in northwest Louisiana

Amazon and STACK Infrastructure recently announced an additional $6 billion planned investment in northwest Louisiana, which involves building a third data center campus at the 313-acre Resilient Technology Park in Shreveport, La.

In February, Amazon announced it would spend $12 billion to build two data center campuses in northwest Louisiana. The addition of the third campus will expand Amazon’s planned investment in the region to $18 billion.

STACK, which owns the campuses, is leading their construction and development. The company said it worked with Amazon and city leaders to refine the campus design, reducing the overall development footprint by 14 percent to preserve more green space and natural buffers.
