Alte Leipziger Hallesche, or ALH Group, acquired 49.9 percent of the shares in a portfolio of 16 solar parks from EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg, with a total capacity of 597 megawatts.
The portfolio also includes the new large-scale solar projects Weesow, Gottesgabe and Alttrebbin, the first solar parks in Germany to be built of this size without state subsidies. These solar projects account for about 80 percent of the installed capacity. About 325,000 tons of carbon-dioxide emissions can be avoided every year simply by generating energy from these three large solar parks in an environmentally friendly manner.
Located in Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony, all solar parks were developed and built by EnBW and most of them only have been connected to the grid in recent years.
