Alcazar Energy Partners bolsters wind portfolio in Serbia

by Kali Persall

Alcazar Energy Partners has signed an agreement with RP Global, a developer and operator of large-scale renewable projects, for the rights for the development, construction and operation of Project Celzijus 1, a 200-megawatt onshore wind power project in Serbia.

Project Celzijus 1 is located east of Belgrade alongside a 768-megawatt pipeline of wind and solar projects. Once fully operational, these projects are expected to generate more than 1,700 gigawatt-hours of clean energy annually, supporting Europe’s transition to a greener, more sustainable energy future. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of this year.

Alcazar Energy Partners said this transaction will mark a significant milestone for the firm as it advances toward its goals of building $600 million in renewable-energy assets in Serbia and becoming the largest renewable platform in the region, with a total target of $1.2 billion in assets.
