Alcazar Energy Partners, an independent investor in renewable energy across growth markets, has penned an agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) and the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) for the development of a 2-gigawatt onshore wind power project in Egypt.
Alcazar Energy said the landmark wind power project will play a vital role in supporting Egypt’s 2030 Vision for renewable energy and environmental sustainability, as it will produce enough clean electricity to power more than 1.3 million households and will boost Egypt’s sustainable power generation.
Once built, the project will prevent the release of up to 4.7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
