Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has appointed Erik Berglof as the bank’s first chief economist.
According to AIIB, he will set the vision and strategy for the economics department and lead the planning, implementation and supervision of its work plan in support of the bank’s mandate to foster sustainable economic development by investing in an inclusive and sustainable Asia.
