Actis to buy majority stake in Singapore environmental management company from Keppel

Actis is acquiring a majority stake in 800 Super, an integrated environmental management company in Singapore, from the Keppel Asia Infrastructure Fund (KAIF) and Keppel’s infrastructure division.

Operating across the circular economy value chain, 800 Super provides waste management, waste treatment, cleaning and resource recovery services to the public and private sectors. 800 Super specializes in recycling, resource recovery and green energy. The company reduces landfill and maximizes recovery of materials and energy in line with Singapore’s 2030 Zero Waste Masterplan.

With more than 20 years of operational track record, 800 Super is one of three licensed municipal solid waste and integrated public cleaning players in the country.

In the proposed transaction, KAIF and Keppel would be jointly divesting their combined 80 percent interest in 800 Super, which values the environmental company at more than S$600 million ($467 million), Keppel confirmed. KAIF and
