SL Capital Infrastructure II fund (SLCI II), managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments, has purchased a portfolio of 49 solar parks in Poland. The seller was Modus Group, one of the biggest developers of solar power parks in Poland.
The sale marks the largest transaction for solar power parks in Poland to date and Aberdeen’s first investment in the Polish infrastructure market. The companies agreed not to disclose financial terms.
“We have also agreed to continue cooperation in the future so that the investment fund could acquire the solar energy projects we are developing in Poland and other E.U. countries,” said Ruslanas Sklepovicius, a Modus board member responsible for renewable energy.
Construction of the solar power parks in Poland was completed this year. These projects were developed by Green Genius, a company owned by Modus Group.
