Aberdeen Standard Core Infrastructure Fund III raises €326m in first close

Abrdn has completed a first closing of its third core/core-plus infrastructure fund, Aberdeen Standard Core Infrastructure Fund III, bringing in €326 million ($372 million) of commitments from existing investors from Fund I and Fund II, as well as a number of new investors.

The commitments came from a wide range of financial investors, including corporate and local authority pension funds, funds of funds, and charitable foundations from the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Japan and North America.

“I’m thrilled to see that the third core infrastructure fund has received such great support from existing clients, which is testament to the commitment and hard work of the team,” said Neil Slater, global head of real assets at Abrdn. “Being categorized as an Article 8 Fund under SFDR regulations reflects the importance of ESG considerations in the investment opportunities we seek.”
