SL Capital Infrastructure I (SLCI I), an economic infrastructure fund managed by Aberdeen Standard Investments, has acquired bulk liquid storage firm Oikos Storage from Challenger Life Co. for an undisclosed amount.
SLCI I focuses on investing in core infrastructure assets in Europe. The Oikos acquisition marks the fund’s eighth and final investment.
Other investments include hydro-electric plants in Norway, a gas distribution business in Finland, natural gas transportation system in the Netherlands, and trains across the United Kingdom.
Oikos Storage is located 38 miles east of London on the north side of the River Thames estuary. With a bulk liquid capacity of roughly 300,000 cubic meters, Oikos is the only independently-owned bulk liquid storage terminal able to deliver products safely and securely to two of the United Kingdom’s key pipeline networks.
