The Scarborough Borough Council in the United Kingdom has launched tenders in search of a private partner to deliver environmentally sustainable homes, with a focus on affordable housing, according to InfraPPP.
The private partner will operate under a 50-50 corporate joint-venture arrangement for a concession period of 30 years. The public-private partnership is valued at $5.35 billion.
The program initially involves work at eight sites, which could be increased in the future. The JV also can purchase its own sites from a third party, or the JV partner can offer sites to the JV.
The deadline to submit bids is Dec. 13.
