$4b spent on U.S. clean-energy investments in February

More than 100,000 jobs — including 97,000 in manufacturing — have been announced as part of major new clean-energy and clean-vehicle projects since the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was signed into law after businesses announced 14 new large-scale projects in February, according to the monthly tally of private-sector announcements from E2.

The new projects — which are expected to create at least 4,400 new jobs and invest $4 billion across 11 states — bring the total number of major clean-energy and clean-vehicle projects tracked by E2 to 292.

February’s analysis comes as hundreds of clean-energy CEOs and executives from across the U.S. travel to Washington, D.C., to hear from industry thought leaders, meet with members of Congress and the Biden administration, and connect at in-person events.
