Australian renewable-developer Edify Energy is seeking approval for a 10-megawatt hydrogen facility located at a sustainable industrial district being established outside the city of Townsville in Queensland.
According to Renew Economy, the project is planned for the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct, which is being developed by the Townsville City Council. It will be established near Edify’s 200-megawatt Majors Creek Solar Farm.
The hydrogen project will be paired with a 10-megawatt behind-the-meter solar project, which may also be combined with a battery-storage project.
