Brazilian 1.6GW power plant sells for $2.16b

New Fortress Energy and its joint venture partner Ebrasil Energia Ltda. and its shareholders, have entered into a definitive share purchase agreement (SPA) with Brazilian power company Eneva S.A., whereby Eneva will acquire 100 percent of the equity interests of the Porto de Sergipe Power Plant for R$6.1 billion ($1.29 billion).

GIC and Greystar announce acquisition of Student Roost from Brookfield

GIC and Greystar Real Estate Partners have formed a joint venture that has signed an agreement to acquire Student Roost, the U.K.’s third-largest purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) provider from one of Brookfield’s real estate private funds. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
