GDEV-backed Relevate Power and Apollo-backed Eagle Creek strike hydropower partnership

Relevate Power, a company backed by GDEV Management that redevelops underutilized hydropower plants, and Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, a hydropower owner and operator backed by Apollo funds, have forged a strategic partnership across their portfolios of small hydropower assets.

Eagle Creek plans to leverage its scale and highly experienced operations team to manage Relevate’s portfolio of run-of-river hydroelectric projects. The two companies already have identified opportunities to combine their respective strengths in redeveloping and operating hydropower facilities to achieve operational and cost efficiencies, starting with asset management as the foundation for a broader relationship. As part of the transaction, the local operators that currently manage Relevate’s portfolio will join Eagle Creek.
