Actis has launched its fourth Indian renewables platform, Leo Energies, targeting a portfolio of more than 3 gigawatts of onshore wind, solar and battery storage assets.
Leo Energies has signed agreements to acquire approximately 650 megawatts peak of solar capacity, which is all set to be operational at acquisition. In addition, 160 megawatts peak of generation and 50 megawatt-hours of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects have now closed, including 110 megawatts peak of generation and 50 megawatt-hours of BESS projects acquired from TrueRE Oriana Power, a fully integrated Indian clean energy platform. These 650 megawatts peak projects stretch across five states — Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh — and are contracted under long-term power-purchase agreements (PPAs) with a mixture of central offtakers, state discoms, and commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.
