by Kali Arevalo

EPC Power Corp., a North American power solutions platform owned by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Cleanhill Partners, is set to be acquired by global manufacturing company Flex for $4.4 billion.

EPC Power is a designer and manufacturer of high-performance, software-defined power-conversion solutions for data centers, utility-scale energy storage and microgrids. The company’s technology delivers performance and reliability that enables on-site energy storage, microgrid and grid-support configurations for data centers, which allow operators to energize capacity faster and ride through grid instability.

The transaction will bring EPC Power’s differentiated power-conversion technology platform to Flex’s portfolio of power and thermal management technologies for mission-critical applications. After closing, EPC Power will become a business within Flex’s Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment.
