Equitix has appointed Brian DeFee as managing director, head of Americas within its capital formation team.
DeFee will lead Equitix’s capital formation activities across the Americas, with a focus on developing and strengthening relationships with institutional investors across the firm’s fund offerings, direct co-investment opportunities and separately managed accounts.
DeFee joins Equitix with more than 20 years of private markets capital-raising experience. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at Capstone Partners, Top Tier Capital Partners, Panda Power Funds and other investment firms, where he worked closely with institutional investors across a range of alternative asset strategies.
He began his career in the Equity Capital Markets team at J.P. Morgan in San Francisco.
