Ancala-backed Portsmouth Water has received approval to build two pipelines in Havant, U.K., according to an announcement on LinkedIn.
The pipelines will fill the new reservoir with water from local springs and redistribute it to supply customers. The development has a timeline of three years, with a completion date set for 2029. Each pipeline is 1.7 meters in diameter and 7 kilometers long. They will transport 40 million liters of water a day to the reservoir.
The firm used sustainable approaches to minimize impact on the local environment and community, including innovative tunneling techniques, route planning collaboration and creating a local representative group.
