Skyfields has received approval from the Australian federal government to develop a major greenfield site for industrial and aviation support services, at the heart of the Airport Estate in Perth, Australia.
The approval clears the way for Skyfields to develop 15 hectares (37 acres) of prime land at Tonkin Connect (Airport South), expanding on this established 160-hectare (400-acre) industrial precinct that plays a key role in supporting Perth Airport’s ongoing growth.
“Industrial sites of this scale are increasingly difficult to secure in the Perth metropolitan area, let alone with such close proximity to airport operations and major road networks,” said Skyfields chief property officer Dan Sweet.
Approved for industrial and aviation‑support development, the site is positioned to accommodate businesses that need to operate close to terminals and core airport infrastructure as passenger operations are centralized and aviation activity intensifies.
