The $80 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) has approved a €100 million ($116 million) commitment to DIF Infrastructure Fund VII, a private infrastructure fund managed by CVC DIF.
The closed-end fund has a target size of €6 billion ($7 billion) and will target investments in the renewable-energy, utilities and transport sectors.
In a document detailing the initial commitment recommendation, PSERS noted a commitment to DIF VIII aligns with the private infrastructure strategic plan’s continued focus on middle-market managers with demonstrated outperformance, co-investment deal flow generation and ability to provide diversification benefits.
PSERS has a 3.8 percent actual allocation to private infrastructure, against a 5 percent target. The pacing budget range for 2025 is $300 million to $500 million of annual commitments to reach the target exposure in 2026.
