Blackstone has agreed to acquire a 22 percent minority stake in AGS Airports from AviAlliance for £235 million ($304 million).
AviAlliance, one of the world’s leading airport investors and operators and a wholly owned subsidiary of PSP Investments, one of Canada's largest pension investors, will remain the majority shareholder with a 78 percent stake.
AGS handles more than 11 million passengers annually and is the owner and operator of three critical U.K. airports: Glasgow and Aberdeen in Scotland and Southampton in England.
AGS Airports was established as a 50-50 joint venture between Macquarie and Ferrovial following their 2014 acquisition of the airport portfolio from Heathrow Airport Holdings. In November 2024, AviAlliance acquired AGS Airports from Macquarie Group and Ferrovial for an enterprise value of £1.53 billion ($2 billion).
