The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) has invested $50 million in Lime Rock Resources Fund VI on behalf of its real assets program.
Lime Rock Resources Fund VI is a closed-end commingled fund investing in domestic oil and gas assets. The vehicle is managed by Lime Rock, a private equity firm focusing on the global energy sector.
The fund’s predecessor, Lime Rock Resources V, closed in March 2022 with $538 million in aggregate capital commitments to the fund and an affiliated co-investment vehicle.
The fund series seeks to acquire, improve and directly operate producing oil and gas properties in the United States.
