EQT Infrastructure Fund VI has amassed more than $8.8 billion of investor commitments, according to a recent filing with the SEC.
Earlier this year, EQT Partners set the fundraising target at €20 billion ($22 billion), with a €21 billion ($23 billion) hard cap.
EQT Infrastructure VI will focus on five primary sectors: digital, energy, transportation and logistics, environmental and social themes. The vehicle will primarily target control and co-control value-add equity investments in operating assets with strong growth potential and opportunities for operational improvements and/or strategic repositioning.
EQT Infrastructure VI will primarily pursue investment opportunities in Europe and North America and may opportunistically explore opportunities in Asia Pacific.
