Denham contributes $200m to EV charging sector in the U.K.

Denham Sustainable Infrastructure (DSI), an arm of global energy transition investment firm Denham Capital, has committed up to £165 million ($199 million) of capital to EVC, an electric vehicle charging company in the United Kingdom.

EVC's core focus is on providing convenient, practical and reliable charging options for its growing customer base. The company funds and installs EV charge points, under long-term contractual lease agreements, at “destinations,” including hospitality, leisure and retail venues; workplaces; and multi-dwelling residential units. EVC aims to eliminate “range anxiety” experienced by EV drivers concerned about finding reliable charge points. Projects range from individual chargers to larger EV charging hubs and utilize charging points with a capacity between 22 kilowatts and 300 kilowatts.
