The Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (ITRS) has disclosed commitments to a fund managed by KKR and two funds managed by Brookfield Asset Management on behalf of its real assets and income portfolios.
A commitment of up to $200 million was made to KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund (DCIF), KKR’s first open-end infrastructure fund that seeks to pursue core infrastructure investments with a buy-and-hold approach. The fund opened to investors in December 2020 and will pursue opportunities in North America, Western Europe and Asia. KKR currently administers $200 million in ITRS assets.
In addition, $300 million went to Brookfield Infrastructure Fund V (BIF V), a fund diversified by geography and across the transportation, renewable-power, utilities, energy and data-infrastructure sectors. Deal sizes are expected to range from $400 million to $1 billion. Brookfield will invest directl
