Triodos Investment Management has acquired a minority stake in Danish wind and solar park developer WindSpace, on behalf of its Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund.
WindSpace is seeking to contribute to the energy transition through the development, construction and operation of renewable-energy power. The company has been delivering wind and solar park projects in developing markets in Europe since 2006.
The new investment concretely identified onshore wind and solar PV projects in WindSpace’s core geographies Poland and Croatia.
“WindSpace envisions a world that runs entirely on green energy and contributes to this goal by being at the forefront of developing greenfield solar and wind park projects in European growth markets,” said Jens Elton Andersen, CEO of WindSpace. “The strategic partnership and equity investment by Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund provides an optimal match for WindSpace. It is the next step in fulfilling our strategic aims
