The San Mateo County (Calif.) Employees Retirement Association (SamCERA) has approved a $25 million investment in Tiger Infrastructure Partners III at its meeting on Dec. 7, according to an investment update posted on the pension fund’s website.
In November, Tiger Infrastructure Partners Fund III had secured $465 million against an unknown fundraising target, according to a filing with the SEC. The fund focuses on infrastructure businesses primarily in the communications, energy and transportation sectors in North America and Europe.
A board meeting packet showed that Verus and staff were originally recommending an investment of $20 million in the infrastructure fund.
