Fran Forehand has been appointed senior vice president of power delivery at Georgia Power, effective April 2. She will succeed Glen Grizzle, who will be retiring after more than 40 years with the company.
Forehand currently serves as vice president of customer service and operations at Mississippi Power, and is responsible for operating and maintaining an electric system serving 188,000 customers across 23 counties in southeast Mississippi.
Forehand joined Georgia Power in 1996, where she held a variety of transmission leadership positions. Prior to joining Mississippi Power, Forehand served as vice president of Georgia Power’s northeast region.
In her new role at Georgia Power, Forehand will be responsible for the planning, design, operations, construction and maintenance of Georgia Power’s distribution and transmission systems.
