Zenobe Energy, an independent owner and operator of battery storage and electric vehicle service provider, has locked in a £150 million ($197 million) investment from Infracapital to help accelerate the United Kingdom’s transition to green energy.
The funding will support the growth of Zenobe’s grid-scale battery services and electric vehicle and charging infrastructure services, helping the transport and energy sectors to address key challenges associated with climate change. Zenobe expects to deploy some £450 million ($592 million) in these sectors, accelerating the use of batteries to support renewable power generation and the electrification of vehicle fleets in the United Kingdom and overseas.
Zenobe has 170 megawatts of grid-scale batteries in operation or construction, which provide a range of services including balancing, power and reactive power services in the United Kingdom. In the transport sector, Zenobe supports more than 100 electric buses and has
