Equinix has completed the expansion of its International Business Exchange (IBX) Hong Kong data center, HK4, according to several news reports. The expansion required an investment of HK$364 million ($46 million).
The Hong Kong data center now has a total of 1,500 cabinets, with the potential for 300 more to be added in later phases, according to Data Centre News.
The HK4 facility is located in Sha Tin and complements the company’s existing colocation centers in Tsuen Wan and Tseung Kwan O. With the latest buildout, Equinix provides around 34,500 square meters (371,354 square feet) of colocation space in Hong Kong.
