SPI Energy Co, a Hong Kong–based provider of green-energy solutions for business, residential, government and utility customers and investors, has acquired a portfolio of eight solar projects in Oregon. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Cork solar project, a ground-mounted photovoltaic project located in Clackamas County, is expected to produce a total of 1.89 megawatts of energy.
The project will participate in the newly formed Oregon Community Solar Program and will offer community solar subscriptions to businesses, nonprofits and homeowners in the Portland General Electric (PGE) utility territory, following approval from the public utility commission of Oregon.
