Brazil’s National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT) is gearing up to launch tenders for a new 30-year concession of the Presidente Dutra Highway project that stretches between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, according to InfraPPP.
The current concession, held by CCR NovaDutra, is set to expire in 2021. The current concession encompasses 402 kilometers (249 miles) and serves as the main link between the northeast and south of Brazil, comprising the largest road concession in the country in terms of daily traffic volume.
ANTT will hold a public hearing for the new concession on Jan. 13 in Brasilia, with additional meetings scheduled on Jan. 15 in Rio de Janeiro and Jan. 17 in Sao Paulo.
