Mid Infra SLP, a core equity infrastructure fund managed by Schroder Aida, a French investment management company and a subsidiary of Shroders, has purchased shares in Autobahnplus A8, the private concession holder of the A8 motorway in Germany.
Mid Infra purchased the shares from independent private equity investment firm InfraVia and Egis Group, a French construction engineering company, for an undisclosed price.
Stretching between Munich and Augsburg, the A8 motorway section is one of the busiest motorways in Germany, providing a link between Bad Reichenhall on the German-Austrian border and Karlsruhe in West Germany.
It connects the major cities of Munich, Augsburg, Ulm and Stuttgart.
The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the German anti-trust authority and of the Highway Authority of Bayern.
