The New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has committed $300 million to an infrastructure fund managed by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, according to a recently released monthly transaction report.
The investment closed on Sept. 17.
The fund, North Haven Infrastructure Partners III, is targeting $4 billion to invest in renewables, transportation and digital infrastructure in developed markets around the world.
Launched in May, North Haven Infrastructure Partners III has garnered support from a slew of investors, including Taiwan Life Insurance Co., Fubon Life Insurance and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.
In late September, Morgan Stanley revealed it had raised roughly $2 billion to date for its third global infrastructure fund.
