Orsted has agreed to sell its Danish power distribution and retail businesses to energy firm SEAS-NVE for 21.3 billion Danish crowns ($3.15 billion) on a cash and debt-free basis.
SEAS-NVE is Denmark’s second-largest cooperatively owned energy company. It owns a 9.54 percent stake in Orsted, which it said it plans to reduce to around 5 percent over the next 12 months.
