Encavis AG has acquired another solar park in the Netherlands with a generation capacity of 43.9 meagwatts, located not far from the city of Eindhoven in the province of North Brabant. Thus, the company has doubled its total generation output in the Dutch market to just under 100 megawatts in just three months. Commissioning of the plants is planned for the fourth quarter of 2018. The seller of the facilities is the London-based international project developer Solarcentury, with whom Encavis AG agreed a strategic partnership in December 2017 for access to solar parks with a total generation capacity of around 1.1 gigawatts over the next three years.
Encavis AG assumes that the photovoltaic system will generate sales revenues of almost €4.5 million ($5.5 million) per year from the first full year of operation. The commercial and technical management is taken over by Solarcentury.
The total investment volume, including project-based debt, amounts to around €44 million ($54.5 million). Solarcentury will contribute nearly 20 percent of the equity portion of the investment.
